Terms of use

Using Playarr

By using Playarr or playarr.app, you agree to these terms and the acceptable-use policy. If you do not agree, do not use the software or hosted service.

Your server and media

Playarr supplies no media, and the maintainers operate no media service. Playarr can send the requests your users make where the administrator's "Where requests go" setting says: by default your own Radarr or Sonarr, or an Ombi or Seerr style request manager if chosen; what those applications then do is set up and controlled by the operator and is the operator's responsibility, and Playarr itself obtains no media. You are responsible for the legality of what you store, play and share, for the server you connect to, the accounts you create, the people you invite and compliance with the laws that apply to you.

Support

Maintainers may refuse support, close issues and decline contributions that fall outside the acceptable-use policy.

Service availability

The public linking service is provided as a convenience and may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn. Keep direct access to your self-hosted server available; the hosted service is not a backup for your server or data.

No revenue, no subscription, no data sold

Playarr earns no revenue from you. There is no subscription and no paid tier, and no personal data is sold. See the privacy policy.

Software licence and warranty

Playarr's source is made available under the MIT licence described on the licences page. The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. In plain words, it may contain faults, it may not suit your purpose, and nobody promises that it will work or keep your data safe. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software and hosted service are provided ‘as is’, and the developers are not liable for any claim, damage or loss, including indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, arising from using them.

Contact

Rights holders and others reporting abuse can write tosupport@playarr.app. Please include the work concerned, where it appears, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised. Playarr hosts no content, so complaints about media on a self-hosted server go to the operator of that server.

Changes

Material changes will be published on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the hosted service after a change means accepting the revised terms.
